Jam Edition Update
Hello!
Firstly, I would like to thank everyone involved in the Godot Wild Jam #72 for all the awesome games and positive feedback. It was an amazing experience!
After the jam ended, based on all the feedback my game received, I decided to make a full release in the future. I plan to build upon the base game to make something a little bigger and include most of the initial ideas I left behind. This full release will include bosses, new areas, new weapons and abilities, a reworked upgrade/item system and a lot of general polish.
For now though, I made a small free update, which I'm calling the Jam Edition Update, where I included a lot of small and mostly quality of life features suggested in the game's submission page. Here is what was added:
- Keyboard input remapping;
- Controller support;
- Particle amount slider;
- Sound effect volume preview;
- Small options menu revamp;
- New customization tab;
- 3 unlockable skins;
- Pickups are now attracted to the player;
- Pickups can no longer go off bounds;
- Heal orbs can no longer be picked or purchased when at full health;
- Upgrades no longer spawn after their stack limit is reached;
- Attack damage upgrades can be purchased one additional time;
- Most upgrades had their costs and "strength" changed;
- Upgrades are shown on the side of the screen;
- Upgrades sprites where all changed to look less flat;
- Music no longer gets muffled between waves, only between levels;
- Full tutorial rework.
And I also fixed some bugs:
- Fixed bug where interaction prompts vanished, breaking the game;
- Fixed bug where light orbs would disappear instead of dropping after defeating enemies;
